Student-led debate at 10:15 am on Tuesday the 15th. Come join us as we welcome candidates from the Pontiac riding.
Student Vote is here. We will be hosting a candidate debate. All candidates from our riding were invited to join the student-led debate. If students are interested in putting forth questions, they must be submitted by email or paper by no later than October 7. We have been discussing key words and ideas regarding government, election and debate. Here is a link to review student-friendly descriptions with your child. It helps to break down issues and identifies where each party stands with regard to each issue. IT will be added to and updated as platforms are added to.

Students are strongly encouraged to wear an orange shirt on Monday, September 30th. Wearing an orange shirt represents that we are listening to and remembering the experiences of residential school survivors and non survivors. It also opens up dialogue which helps to fight against racism and cultural bullying.

Free Girls baseball clinic in Chelsea on Saturday. One of our very own graduates will be the pitching instructor. Regional coaches and local coaches will be present to ensure safe environment. Check it out! :)

PARENTS: I am looking for the occasional volunteer. This would be for tasks such as cutting out items, reviewing books on common sense media (to ensure appropriateness etc.), helping to prepare art activities etc. These tasks often come up suddenly and are required for next day (not always) and I would love some extra hands. September 8: PARENTS: As a way to represent our different heritages and cultural backgrounds, we will be proudly displaying flags in our classroom. Please take the time to discuss your cultural heritage with your child and discuss the options for flags with them.

Sept 4:Students in BOTH classes will have a quiz of Canadian provinces, territories and capitals in 2 weeks time. Please start practicing at home :).
